Monitoring: one small pit with IA pottery and undated hearth.

Evaluation and excavation identified later prehistoric pits, pottery and flints, also a double set of ditches recorded on the First Edition OS map. Iron Age structures revealed in later excavation along with post-medieval field boundary.

Finds imprecisely provinanced to Wangford Warren include: 360 blades/flakes; 15 cores; 20 scrapers and 4 microliths Previously WNG Misc.

September 1999: Fieldwalking survey by measured transects across de-stumped pine compartment located dense scatter of 83 worked flints, 32 burnt flints and 2 sherds flint gritted pottery. Probably Later BA.

Bronze socketed axe with skeumorphic representation of a hafted and bound flanged axe.

2009: rapid survey identified NW-SE earthwork bank circa 20m wide and 50cm-1m high.
