Description
19891000. An area of 144 sq.m. was excavated prior to redevelopment. The site is 190m south of St. Gregory's Church and 10m back from the current Gregory street frontage. The site lies within the assumed Late Saxon defensive circuit, which is shown by the curving pattern of the street formed by Friars Street, Burkitts Lane and Croft Road. The site is 150m from the River Stour.
