Description
Monitoring of earth moving operations for the construction of an agricultural reservoir north of Rectory Road, Brome, and some 120 metres north of the Parish church, did not reveal any archaeological features, it is likely that agricultural work has truncated any features. However a small flint scatter and medieval pottery were recovered. Two monitoring visits were made while the top and subsoil were bing removed by blldozer and box-scraper. The surface geology was a moderately heavy, sandy, boulder clay (S1).
