Description

2001: Evaluation trenching was undertaken in two fields earmarked for woodland planting. A total of 15 trenches measuring 1.5m wide and toalling 420m in length were excavated to sample all areas of the site but a slightly higher concentration were excavated in the part of the field where previous finds had suggested the possible presence of an early Saxon cemetery.
