Description
Monitoring for the building of a new conservatory and porch to the rear of Moat Farm House. The site lies within a moated medieval enclosure (BUG 004) The strip foundation trenches were excavated to depth of 1.2m. Topsoils 0.25m deep comprising of soft mid brownish grey clayey loam w/moderate brick tile flecks and small flint pebbles. Made ground at 0.25m-0.7m comprising soft mottled brownish grey redeposited clay. Natural boulder till at 0.7+m deep of stiff light bluish grey clay w/moderate small to medium flints (S1)
