Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on groundworks for a new building. Footing trenches were 0.6m wide and 1.3m deep. The soil profile comprised of 0.35m of topsoil directly over the natural subsoil. Modern disturbance was evident to a depth of c.0.5m. No finds or features of archaeological interest were identified beyond an early 20th century backfilled pond visible on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map.
