Description
Construction of an extension- footings inspected. Cut to the depth of c. 1.2m, revealing a build up of rubble and crushed mortar over a layer of buried topsoil which in turn overlayed a natural subsoil comprising of yellow sand and gravel. The layers sloped down to the west towards the river. The brick layer had been used to level the area immediately to the rear of the house. No archaeological features, artefacts or deposits were identified.
