Description
Evaluation was undertaken in the grounds of the Lathbury Institute. Two trenches were excavated , one being L shaped measuring 3.1m by 5.4m with the other being 12m long, with as short extension. Both were excavated to a depth of between 1.4m and 2.35m. The evaluation identified evidence of medieval and early post-medieval activity mainly in the form of pits.
