Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried on groundwork associated with the construction of a garden studio and courtyard, with attached stores and a garden boundary wall. The ground reduction of the courtyard entailed the removal of c.0.7m of overburden from the entire area. Footing trenches for the studio, stores and garden wall were also inspected. These were cut from the courtyard level into the underlying natural subsoil. No finds or features of archaeological interest were identified.
