Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on the final stages of ground works, which were undertaken by hand, as was the insertion of foundation steel work. The foundation trenches were 16m in length, 0.50m wide and between 0.70m and 0.90m deep. The trench sides revealed a depth of 0.30m of topsoil over 0.10-0.20m of a sandy subsoil, which lay directly over natural (S1).
