Description
Monitoring carried out prior to the construction of two soakaways within the Scheduled Ancient Monument. Wider works were undertaken without archaeological monitoring due to a misunderstanding. The holes were visually examined but revealed no archaeological features or finds. The dimesions and locations of the holes were recorded and photographed. S1 measured 1.5m by 0.7m and had been cut to a depth of 1.5m. S2 measured 1.4m by 0.7m and was cut to a depth of 1.2m.
