Description
Monitoring of the footing trenches for two new houses revealed no archaeological features or finds. The footing trenches were 1m deep and 0.5m wide. Topsoil was dark greyish brown sandy loam c.0.4m thick. Subsoil was a mid brown silty sand with occasional small pebbles c.0.3m thick. Natural subsoil was clean pale orangey brown silty sand with occasional flint inclusions (S1).
