Description
Monitoring of groundwork associated with alterations to Herne Hill Farmhouse - the excavation of a large basement beneath one of the proposed extensions and ground reduction associated with construction of a second extension. The site of the basement and a surrounding area had been stripped to a depth of c. 0.6m. A 1.4m diameter pit containing late 19th/early 20th century debris was identified but no other archaeological feature or finds were recorded.
