Description
A historic assessment was carried out for a 18th C barn in the grounds of Rookery Farmhouse, a 16th C timber-framed farmhouse, prior to its conversion. The 5 bay timber-framed and weatherboarded threshing barn which sits on a brick plinth has a number of 19th and 20th C alterations, and whilst some areas are in need of repair, others remain in good condition.
There is also a 19th C timber-framed cartshed, and there was also once a 19th C clay lump stable and a cartshed but these have since been demolished. A number of 20th C structures also stand at this site, making it a good example of a developing farmstead.
