Description
A small excavation (c.4m by 2m) was undertaken within the footprint of a proposed electricity sub-station on the south-western side of the Federal Warehouse. The site is within 40m of the rich Anglo-Saxon cemetery at Boss Hall. The excavation trench revealed no archaeological features, depoits or finds. The small trench contained mainly modern intrusions/services and a small strip of highly truncated yellow sand natural.
