Description
An archaeological evaluation consisting of an earthwork survey and trial trenching was undertaken in advance of the proposed residential development of the site. A total of 42 trenches were excavated, initially measuring 30m by 1.6m. Trenches 13 and 24 were extended to 45m and 50.7m respectively. All of the trenches were excavated using a mechanical excavator through the topsoil and undifferentiated overburden.
