Description

Monitoring of ground works for a new house did not reveal any features or finds save a few small fragments of later Post medieval brick and tile. The overall footprint area of the new dwelling was c.190sqm. The exposed deposit profile comprised 0.25m of topsoil over 0.2m of a mid brown clay subsoil, below the subsoil the locally occurring glaciofluvial deposit proved to be a stiff pale brown clay with flints (S1).
