Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on groundworks related to an extension and a garage. A total of four visits were made to the site. The trenches were machine excavated and the trenches were entered when under 1.4m deep to allow for closer inspection. The total footprint of the two areas is c.104m2 and in total 60m of 0.5m wide and 0.8m to 2.6m deep foundation trenches were excavated. A single sherd of Medieval pottery was found in the up cast spoil but no other finds or features of archaeological interest were identified (S1).
