Description
An archaeological excavation was undertaken prior to the proposed development of a small-scale residential estate. The excavation targete a small area where previous phases of geophysical survey and trial trench evaluation had identified the presence of archaeological deposits dating to the Bronze Age and Roman periods. Limited monitoring of groundworks in the surrounding area showed that any potential archaeological horizon was not being disturbed (S1).
