Description
An archaeological monitoring was carried out on foundation trenches. The overall footprint area of the new build was c.48m squared and in total 24m of 0.6m wide and 0.9m to 1.3m deep foundation trenches were excavated. The deposit profile revealed 0.35m of topsoil lay over 0.3m of subsoil overlying naturally occurring sand. Roman and medieval pottery was recovered from the site.
