Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out in advance of a proposed commercial development. A total of 109 evaluation trenches were excavated covering an approximate 2.7% sample of the 42ha site. The trenches generally measured 50m long, although several measured 25m. Three trenches were not excavated due to being too close to the railway or because they were in areas of particularly deep made ground. Prehistoric, medieval and modern features were identified across the site.
