Description
Monitoring was undertkaned during an extension to Shellpits, Daphne Road, Orford. The footings trenches were examined for archaeological features and spoil observed for finds. Trenches were c.1m in depth, a sample section drawing was made of the deposits in two places and the depth of the natural subsoil (yellow crag) was recorded across the site. No evidence for any form of previous activity was detected.
