Description
Watching Brief on groundworks for new Assembly Hall adjacent to Queens House. Site visited when area had been reduced by cutting into slope that was rises gently east to west end. Max depth of 1-3m into slope , all clean sand/gravel natural, no sign of any features or finds and evidence for Pmed quarry seen during evaluation/site strip in 1998 rapidly removed by reduced level excavation indicating that 'quarry' was only just over 1m deep at most.
