Description
Watching brief carried out following the excavation of shallow footings and a scree of concrete had been spread across the bottom of the trenches. Ground disturbances were not deep enough to penetrate any visible archaeology , however green brown loam between the footings suggests deposits are probably well preserved below the prsent footings. Repairs to steps and walling to a cellar at the back of the property exposed the profiles of pits cutting chalk.
