Description
The site was visited by Tom Loader on the morning of Tuesday 10th February 2004. All strip foundations were open on arrival. The section comprised a dark clay loam topsoil (0.6 - 0.7m in depth) above a yellow clay subsoil. In general the contractors excavations stopped on the surface of the subsoil.
No interventions were observed cutting the subsoil surface, and with the exception of a jaw bone (Horse or Cow), drawn to the attention of the monitoring officer by the builder, the spoil appeared to be generally sterile in nature.
No further visits are required in respect of this development.
