Description
Monitoring was undertaken during groundworks for a two-storey front extension and new rear single-storey extension. Only modern made ground layers and two modern pits were encountered. Area 1 was overlain by concrete (c.0.07m thick) with made ground below. The latter overlay the natural horizon. Area 2 had the same stratigraphy, however instead of concrete the area was overlain by lawn (S1).
