Description

Archaeological monitoring was carried out on Anglian Water pipeline in Lavenham. Evaluation consisted of visual analysis of the complete length of the trench prior to the laying of the pipeline. The trench was approximately 5-6m wide and excavated by JCB with wide toothed ditching bucket to a general depth below the surface deposits. Much of the length of pipeline trench had been compressed by the action of working vehicles reducing visibility (S1).
