Description
Approximately 75% of the footing trenches had already been excavated. Trenches were c. 0.4m wide and 0.6m deep. Upper 0.2m of the section consisted of dark brown/black clay and the loam topsoil contained brick and slate fragments, glazed china, etc. Remaining 0.4m section consisted of orange brown sandy clay, containing sub-angular flints. No archaeological artifacts recovered.
