Description
Continuous archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken for the construction of a two-storey garage extension to the residential property of 'Annamel'. The site was overlain by topsoil, a friable, dark brownish black silty sand with occasional small chalk and stone (0.25m thick). Below this was subsoil, a weakly compacted, mid greyish brown silty clay with occasional medium chalk (0.25m thick). Below was Natural soild light yellowish grey bedrock clay (S1).
