Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried was carried out on groundworks for two dairy cow cubicle buildings to the south-east of the moat. Part of the area had already been disturbed by previous work. What remained was stripped to a depth of 0.3m.Follwoing the soil strip nine pits were excavated measuring 1.2m by 0.8m and 1m deep. No pre 20th century finds were identified and the only feature was a farm animal burial of relatively recent date.
