Description
A trench was opened, and later extended, following observations restricted grass growth in the lawn behind the house. The trench was on a north-south alignment and measured approximately 203cm long and 65cm wide. The original trench was situated approximately 1.18m from the north garden wall and 2.76m from the rear of the house.
This trench was extended to the east an additional 1.43m x 0.76m area. Walls thought to be footings for outbuildings, drains and post medieval material were identified.
