Description
An archaeological trial trench evaluation was carried to assess the archaeological potential of the site prior to the construction of 56 dwellings on the site. A total of seventeen trenches were excavated providing a 5% sample of the approximate 1.8ha site. Due to restraints on the site only fifteen trenches were excavated. The trenches measured between 20m and 30m long and 1.8m wide. An isolated post medieval ditch and remains related to a railway were identified.
