Description

An archaeological trenched evaluation was undertaken on open farmland and former woodland, to the north of Cavenham, in advance of the proposed expansion of Marston Pit sand and gravel quarry. A total of 27 trenches totalling 924m in length, giving approximately 5% coverage were excavated (S1).
