Description
Four visits were made to view excavations on the site: these saw a test pit excavated by machine, which revealed a full soil profile, the first set of footings for the new building, which was constantly monitored, the site strip that was carried out before the last footings and a visit was made after the last footings had been pulled. About 50m of trenching was excavated in total of which approximately 25m was constantly monitored during excavation. The footings were c.1.2m at the deepest. No archaeological features were observed in any of the trenches (S1).
