Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out following topsoil stripping in advance of proposed mineral extraction at Redhouse Farm. The monitoring followed an aerial photographic assessment and field survey of the site that revealed flint scattered to the west and north and cropmarks to the west. The topsoil measured to a depth of 0.35m and directly overlay the natural gravel drift across this part of the site. Small scale evidence of modern features associated with tree clearance was identified; however, the monitoring revealed no finds or features of archaeological interest (S1).
