Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out after the demolition of the previous structure and ground surface reduction of c.0.5m had been undertaken across the area of the new building works. An area of approximately 147sqm was stripped underneath and adjacent to an existing extension to the rear of Well House. No deposits or artefacts related to the early occupation of the town, although the visible surface was made up by modern ceramic building material (S1).
