Description

Archaeological monitoring was carried out on trenches as part of the Anglian Water Pipeline Replacement Scheme. The trench at Market Hill consisted of c.40m of open trench, measuring at 1m deep with the pipe already inserted. The trench at The Thoroughfare consisted of a second trench measuring at c.1m in depth. Finds were also reported by contractors from the west end of New Street (S1).
