Description

An archaeological evaluation was carried out in two phases prior to the development of the site. The initial phase was carried out in April 2013 but three of the trenches were delayed until September 2013 when the demolition of buildings to the south of the plot allowed access to the remaining trenches. A total of 13 evaluation trenches were excavated. The trenches measured 30m by 1.8m and were excavated to a maximum depth of 1m. Trench 12 was shorted due to a standing structure. Romano-British features were identified.
