Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out in advance of the proposed redevelopment of the Residential Home. The specification for the site had stated that four evaluation trenches were to be excavated. However, due to the modern landscaping of the care home gardens only one trench measuring 39m long was able to be excavated. Four ditches of Late Prehistoric or Roman date were identified (S1).
