Site Event/Activity record ESF24646 - Monitoring - Site 5, Rendlesham

Archaeological monitoring was carried out prior to residential development. Visits were made to observe major service trenches and access roads. Areas where contaminated ground had been removed were also inspected. No topsoil survived on any part of the site and the exposed surface had been disturbed by vehicle tracks. No finds or features were identified and the depth of disturbance over the site would have destroyed any archaeological features that were once present.
