Description
Monitoring of foundation trenches for two new dwellings on the site of the former village hall. The groundworks comprised over 120 metres of footings that were excavated 0.5m to
1.2m deep. No archaeological features or residual artefacts were identified during the archaeological investigation. A buried soil horizon was recorded in the northern part of the site; this appears to be associated with the construction of Hacheston village hall in the mid 20th century.
