Description
A series of monitoring visits were carried out on the modification and refurbishment of the Base Commissary. The area to the east side of the building showed natural undisturbed and this was truncated by the modern surface. The front area of the Commissary stands on made-up ground and the new works did not appear to interfere with archaeological levels. The area of the car-park remodelling was largely superficial and in most places did not reach clean subsoil. No finds or features of archaeological interest were identified.
