Description
A fluxgate gradiometer survey was undertaken on land at the former Ellough Airfield prior to the proposed development of a solar farm. The zigzag traverse method was used where readings were taken at 0.25m intervals along 1.0m wide traverses. Many of the magnetic variation clearly relates to airfield activity and former field boundaries. Several potentially archaeological anomalies were identified to the west of the site.
