Description
18 evaluation trenches were excavated to the extent of 275m by 1.80m prior to the construction of 17 new dwellings and garages. Archaeological features and finds dating from the Neolithic to early Roman were recorded. The remainder of the trenches contained deposits consistent to a deeply stratified back-fill sequence, suggesting that all of these trenches were on the site of a modern quarry pit (S1).
