Description

Two trenches totalling 65m were excavated on land within the curtilage of the former HMP Blundeston in advance of the first phase of housing development. A third trench was adandoned due to access issues. In the first trench the natural subsoil appeared to be partially truncated. A probable buried subsoil layer survived in the second trench.
