Description
Evaluation tenching for a single dwelling development adjacent to The Old House which is a late 17th/early 18th century. 5 trenches 1.8m wide and varied between a total depth of 0.6m-0.7m with a maximum depth of 0.9m-1.1m. The natural glaciofluvial deposit at the site was not consistent and varied between pale brown clay and an area of yellow sand in trench 1 and pale brown sandy clay in the area of the remaining trenches (S1).
