Full Description

Evaluation trenching for a single dwelling development within the historic core of the village and adjacent to The Old House, which is a building of late 17th/early 18th century origin that is at present in a poor condition, revealed one shallow ditch of Post medieval date. With small fragments of abraded Post medieval brick to the base of the subsoil in places it was also clear that extensive ground disturbance has taken place in the relatively recent past over parts of the site.
