Description
Monitoring of footings for a small residentail development. The site was visited twice. On the first visit the footing trenches had been cut to a depth of c.0.70m and revealed only clean natural subsoil consisting primarily of
yellow sand. On the second visit the footings were much deeper at 1.6m, of which the top c. 1.4m comprised loamy topsoil with occasional patches of brick rubble and other 20t century debris and overlay the natural sand subsoil. No archaeological features or finds were recorded on either occasion.
