Description
Evaluation trenching for a 14 dwelling development to the west of Langton Green that had seen a previous geophysical survey and initial evaluation. 8 trial trenches were excavated, topsoil at a depth of c.0.25m with a subsoil c.0.15-0.25m deep which was mid brown clay. The drift geology was stiff pale yellowish brown sandy clay with chalk fragments and flints (S1).
