Description
An archaeological monitoring was carried out during the demolition of the western extension to Building 958 at RAF Lakenheath. The ground below the building was found to be disturbed with a deep layer of hogging beneath the building. The close monitoring of the removal of iron stanchions exposed a buried, gleyed soil at the north edge of the site. No archaeological features were found.
